Christmas Eve....

We had a great Christmas Eve. I stressed over making the gravy just like mom's and couldn't even call her because she was up North in Finland. It turned out alright. It was just us, Mike, Heather and Anders, and Ry and Mick's family.
Deliciousness-it helped that mom made the meatballs before she left and froze them-next year we are on our own.
Here are our spectacularly sprinkled cookies-so tasty.
And here are the men putting the candles on the graves. Ry, Parker, Phill and Mike went and placed candles on the graves of my parent's parents, grandparents, Uncle Larry, etc...They look really pretty all lit up and it is nice to include them all in our Christmas celebration. I remember my dad trudging through the snow in Croydon when I was young so he could put the candle on his parents grave. It's as much part of Christmas Eve as the meatballs and rice pudding. Heather made the pudding and it was spectacular. We even watched a few minutes of Mass for you dad.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HEATHER!!! Mike and Anders got Heather a gluten-free cake from Taggarts-it was divine. I'd eat it any day. Our little Heather is growing up...
