And the winner is....

They announced the winners of the Inspirations contest today at an assembly at school.  It's an arts contest that the kids can enter.  They have nine categories and Londyn wanted to enter them all.  I told her that was fine, but she had to do the work herself.  She was able to enter seven of the categories and she won lots of ribbons.  I was so very proud of her for taking the initiative to enter and work hard for her contest.
She received the following awards.  1st place in dance, digital art, and singing an original song she wrote, 2nd place in photography, and 3rd place in literature, 2-D art, and 3-D art.
The best was watching her go up and get her awards, and then at the end when I saw her and she was smiling so big and jumping up and down.  They showed her dance and played her singing to the half of the school that was there.  It was awesome.
I almost felt bad that she had won so much and found myself apologizing, etc... to the other parents and then I stopped myself and thought, "Why should I be that way, she worked really hard and I'm really proud of her and it's ok to show that and be that..."  So, I learned something that day too.
WAY TO GO LULU!!!
