We went to the Festival of Trees for an early birthday for me. It was lots of fun, even though I was grouchy because things didn't go the way I expected. You know, kids whining, long lines, things taking longer than they should, everybody hungry and grouchy...should have gotten food first and then gone-I think it would have fixed most of the problem...
Anyway, there were lots of cool trees. It seemed like there were even more than usual. The kids liked looking at them, especially Beanie. She is already requesting that we go for her birthday next year.
When I saw the above tree-I knew you all needed a picture of it. It was like "electric sex..." staring at us from the window... (from the movie "A Christmas Story" I don't remember the exact quote)
Dres got a sucker from the fishing pond-as you can see, he is very happy for himself.
They had this huge pool with bubbles in it. They would pull it up around the kids and they would blow on it and it would pop. They had a lot of fun with it.
Grandma Kathy went with us and we all had a good time. The fudge was excellent as usual.
